2.0 out of 5 stars Just Short of Useful, December 29, 2010

This review is from: MBW-200 Bluetooth Wrist Watch (EU, Evening Classic) (Electronics)
The Good:

Pairs & Connects easily. Caller ID works quite well. Keeps decent time. Battery life is about 4 days, and the recharging is nice (no winding, no batteries). Menu (once understood) is pretty simple and to the point. Controls easy to use. Reject or Accept Call feature works flawlessly.

The Bad:

Truly crappy band (cheap, showed wear within 1 week). Very thick and heavy body (uncomfortable). Manual written in badly, BADLY broken "Engrish". Bluetooth delay means watch vibrates on about Ring #4, meaning you have about 1 second to decide what to do before it goes to voicemail anyway.

The Ugly:

SMS notification did not work whatsoever. There's a little disclaimer at the very bottom of the entry on some websites about how this feature does not work with some phones. I wasn't able to get it to work with any phone at all.

The Verdict:

Save your money, and look for something better. If... Read more

Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: MBW-200 Bluetooth Wrist Watch (EU, Evening Classic) (Electronics)
I bought this watch because I work as an engineer in a manufacturing plant and my hands are always full when I get a call. Now all I have to do is look at my watch to see who is calling. Then if it is important I can put everything down and answer the phone. Otherwise I can let it go to voicemail.

It synced well to my Motorola Droid but the instructions were very difficult to understand. They must have been translated from some other language and the translator was not very good at English. Not to say that I am any better at it my self.

The watch looks very nice and the caller ID display is really pretty in a bright blue on a OLED display. The watch also stayed synced when I got into my car and my Droid automaticaly synced with my car's Bluetooth stereo system. I didn't even know you could sync two Bluetooth devices at the same time. Droid does.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap Watch, Cheap Electronics, February 8, 2011
This review is from: MBW-200 Bluetooth Wrist Watch (EU, Evening Classic) (Electronics)
My biggest gripe with this product was that it could not maintain a connection with my phone. After successfully pairing, the watch would randomly lose connection. Even when I set them both on the table next to each other, it still couldn't make the connection sometimes. I could find no determining factor that would cause the connection to be lost. The watch will optionally vibrate to let you know when it has lost the connection, but there is nothing you can do to help it reconnect, so you end up watching the display while it continually vibrates on your wrist. The other option is to turn off the vibrate function, but then you never know whether the watch is connected or not. So for half the calls you have to pull your phone out anyway, which defeats the purpose of the callerID function, and for me, the whole reason I bought the product.

The other disappointment was that, for the price, I expected a higher quality of watch. Nothing broke in the two weeks that I had... Read more
